UPDATE!!!!

Recent news has informed that the New York Rangers are in discussion with the New York Yankees about using Yankee Stadium (the old) as a venue for the Second American Outdoor hockey game. The game is supposedly taking place in November and may be the last event to take place in the house that Ruth built. The league is in discussion and wants an Original 6 team to play. The biggest draw nationally would be the Detroit Red Wings (awesome for me!). The game is not fully organized yet but hopes are high.

I will keep you informed as more news comes out.

Thanks.

Wow, this would be awesome! I watched the other game this year played at an outdoor stadium and it was quite different and really neat looking. Having two classics - the Rangers and Red Wings would be an awesome game to watch. I definitly am interested in looking further into this and will keep checking your blog for more details!!

That sounds cool. However, I must be seriously out of the loop as I thought they were taking down Yankee Stadium? But i guess not until the other one is completely built. Im interested to know the final outcome of this.

I don't like that idea... the Yankees should be the ones to play the last game in Yankee Stadium!!
